Tan Dinh

Designer

I like figuring out how things should work.

I’m Tan, a product designer with about six years of experience. I started at an agency, then joined a Singaporean startup where I designed and maintained a product used across five countries in Southeast Asia. These days, I work on online banking experiences and ATMs at National Australia Bank.

I didn’t start out in design. I was an accountant first, but I was always the person messing around in Photoshop, making things, and trying to improve how they looked or worked. That part never really went away.

What I enjoy most about product design is figuring things out. Sometimes that means untangling a complicated journey. Sometimes it means testing something with customers. Sometimes it means making a prototype just to see whether an idea actually works. Lately, I’ve also been spending a lot of time with AI and code, mostly because they let me make things faster and explore ideas beyond static screens.

One of the projects I’m most proud of is NAB’s ATM redesign. We reworked the experience across physical hardware and software, with a strong focus on accessibility and making everyday banking tasks feel clearer and more modern.

I like working with teams that move quickly, communicate well, and care about the product more than process for process’s sake. Outside of work, I still spend too much time making things, including this portfolio. I also play pickleball and guitar, sing karaoke badly, and drink cheap beer in Vietnam.
